THE SEYCHELLES
The Seychelles have long been a dream for many people around the world. The turquoise waters and white sands, the incredible nature and unique hospitality will make every traveller feel at home and on vacation – both at the same time. And there is nothing like sailing the incredible waters, exploring the islands or just relaxing aboard a yacht with your own private chef.
Mahé Island
The main island – Mahé – is the perfect place to start your sailing trip around the Seychelles. As it is the most populated island in the archipelago, there are plenty of activities to do while there. The incredible waterfalls and mountains make for a great walk, while the numerous beaches offer a variety of water activities like scuba diving. Enjoy the night aboard your yacht, have dinner made from your personal chef and in the morning – Praslin Island awaits.
Praslin Island
After breakfast on board, sail to Praslin Island and anchor in Anse Lazio Bay. Ranked two of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette are a must stop. Offering postcard-like views, those beaches are great for swimming, fishing and snorkelling. Don’t forget to leave some time to explore the island, which is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Vallée de Mai is where the world-famous coco de mer nuts grow on numerous palm trees.
Curieuse Island
Next stop – Curieuse Island. There is no place on earth like it and you will never regret spending a day of your sailing trip there. Nicknamed “the Red Island” for its red soil, the island is home to more than five hundred Aldabra tortoises and some of those are more than 200 years old. The numerous walking trails around the island will take you on a journey through incredible mangrove forests, ancient ruins and many more. Sail to Saint-Pierre Island for some amazing snorkelling and enjoy the beautiful corals and other marine life in the area. Sail back to the coast of Praslin and enjoy your night there.
La Digue Island
Although this is the smallest island of the main ones, La Digue is paradise. Rent a bike and explore the island or go beach-hopping and stop at Grand Anse and Anse Source d’Argent. The architecture on the island is incredible and you will definitely feel the typical island-living feeling. Sail to Félécité Island and enjoy the waters and get some tan. Enjoy the beautiful evening aboard your sailing vessel and take a rest.
Félicité Island
World-class diving areas, Félicité Island and the neighbouring Ile Cocos and a few more are one of the most beautiful marine parks in the world. The smooth, granite boulders along the shore of the island hide numerous interesting marine life species, while the forests grow wild fruits and vegetables – you will definitely feel like a real castaway. Superb snorkelling and excellent hiking are the perfect activities while on the island.
In the afternoon sail back to Mahe and enjoy a quiet evening under the beautiful stars – the perfect end to the perfect sailing trip around the Seychelles!
