Delhi, the capital of the country is the most logical place to begin your beautiful trip.

New Delhi

You can choose to visit a Sikh temple or gurudwara and experience the serenity and peace or visit another grandeur, the Red Fort of Delhi. Built with red sandstone, the fort housed all the Mughal princes and their families for over 200 years. The Red Fort was the centre of power and politics in the Indian subcontinent.

The Taj Mahal

Built by Shah Jahan in memory of his queen, the Taj as it is popularly known, is set in a 42-acre complex which houses the tombs, a mosque and a guest house, all surrounded by gardens on three sides. The Taj they say displays many moods to its visitors. Pinkish in the morning, milky in the evening, golden with the first rays of the moon and many other intermittent colours in between symbolically edifying the presence of God, who is never seen but felt! If you are one of those lucky who is visiting the Taj on a moonlit night, then brace yourself to bathe in its surreal beauty as the romanticism of the place and sheer majesty of the structure will lead you to believe that true love does exist in this world!

Ranthambore

Jaipur, the Pink City of India.

Jaipur

Tuck into a hearty breakfast at the Oberoi and get ready to a great day of sightseeing in Jaipur. Amber Fort or Amer Palace as it is popularly known is one of the top tourist attractions in Jaipur. Built from pink and pale yellow sandstone the fort was built during the 15th and 16th centuries by Raja Man Singh I and completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh. The interior of the fort is embellished with precious stones, carvings and mirrors to enhance its beauty. The Maota Lake surrounding the fort enhances its beauty. Built using a blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture, the fort is divided into four sections with one section called the Sheesh Mahal which is decorated with glass mirrors, paintings and flowers. Indulge in the elephant safari that takes you on a trip to the city.
The second part of the visit is to the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was built in the 17th century by the king as a summer retreat for his family. A five-storeyed multi latticed structure with windows or jharokhas, the Hawa Mahal was mainly used by the women of the royal family as a place to gather and view the outside world. Built from pink sandstone, the Palace of Winds is a magnificent structure in Jaipur. Visitors are allowed to climb to the top and take a view of the city.
Though dotted with many historical sights, Jaipur is well known for its Jantar Mantar or the world famous astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Now being maintained by the UNESCO as a rare heritage site, Jantar Mantar was the largest of the 5 astronomical observatories built by the king or the founder of Jaipur city. It has 16 geometric devices designed to measure time, observe the planets and celestial bodies.
